Filter Technology has built mobile units for asphalt plants up to 70,000 ACFM with fan and control panel. We have also supplied mobile units for aggregate separators used to remove 200 mesh (and less) from the aggregate for asphalt paving. Six of these units were supplied to GE Environmental.

FANS

DUCTWORK
Filter Technology provides ducting for ventilating both positive and negative air systems. We design complete systems to customer specifications, or we design and build for the project. Filter Technology is a distributor of Nordfab Ducting and carries about $5000 in inventory for immediate delivery in many of the popular sizes.

If your application doesn’t fall in the quick connect world of duct we fabricate duct, heavy wall, high-temp, or alternate alloys and offer insulation for our high-temp designs. We have fabrication shops in MN and OR.

G.E. Environmental
Located in Qatar: Six custom designed units, 53,000 CFM each. Intake filters for an air conditioning unit at a large power plant.

Filter Technology has a 10″ diameter multi clone we use for ambient to 180°F. It uses a urethane spin vane and a 10 gauge cone that will remove 90% of particulate 10 micron or larger. The advantage of multiclones is, because there are several, the mass air flow can vary by 10 - 15% and have little effect on the efficiency of the multi clone.

With temperatures above 180°F, we use 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12″ Multiclones that are cast manganese iron and we offer 3 different spin vanes to achieve best possible removal rates at 3-4″ Delta P. We fabricate 16, 20, and 24″ diameter using AR vanes and/or alternate metals to meet application.

Single body units can be lined with AR, ferroalloy or ceramic, and we offer vortex breakers to minimize carry over. Materials of construction are carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other exotic metals as applications require.

We also offer small, all urethane cyclones for air flows of 300 - 850 cfm that are lined. These are very effective for use on reclaim systems located on sandblast systems.
